Seth Towns looking for 2023-24 opportunity after stepping away from Ohio State basketball

Seth Towns is not giving up on playing college basketball. The forward is reportedly looking to find a new team after stepping away from Ohio State basketball last fall.
Towns, who’s college career began in 2016, is in the NCAA transfer portal, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
A familiar name entered the portal earlier this evening, per source: Seth Towns. Hasn’t played since 2020-21 season with Ohio State, has missed three entire seasons with knee and back injuries over course of his career. First played college hoops in 2016 at Harvard. 2018 Ivy POY.

In September, Towns tweeted that he was stepping away from the Buckeyes basketball team because his body was not up to a full season of B1G hoops. Towns has missed time due to multiple injuries and surgeries. He underwent back surgery in September 2021.

Towns, the Ivy League Player of the Year in 2018, last played during OSU’s 2020-21 season. He made 25 appearances, averaging 3.8 points over 10.8 minutes per game.
