This just in: Kendall Sheffield can jet.
OK, so anyone who watched Ohio State football in 2017 already knew that. But as it turns out, Sheffield’s speed is far from limited to the football field.
On Friday night at the Buckeye Tune-Up, he broke the Ohio State record with a 6.63-second 60-meter dash.

In addition to breaking a record that stood since 1995, that was the fastest time in the B1G this year. It was the 14th-fastest time in the NCAA in 2018.
Sheffield held off on the NFL and decided to return to a loaded Buckeye secondary. The former 5-star recruit recorded 40 tackles and 9 passes defended in his first season in Columbus.
Cleary, Sheffield won’t have much catching up to do when he shifts his focus back to the gridiron when spring football kicks off.
