Urban Meyer was asked some pretty tough questions this week, mostly regarding his future at Ohio State.

There have been rumors that the Ohio State head coach is still contemplating his future. Meyer has said he plans on staying in Columbus for the 2019 season. After the Buckeyes posted a 45-24 win over Northwestern in the B1G Championship Game, it seems hard to imagine that Meyer would call it quits at the end of the year.

After the game, Meyer’s wife, Shelley Meyer, may have shed a little light on her husband’s status without peeling back the curtain too much.

“He’s feeling really good right now. Winning cures a lot of things,” Shelley Meyer told Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors. “All I can say is he’s been feeling pretty good the last few weeks, after getting all the headaches under control, and we’re feeling really good today. Really good today.”

Meyer’s future with Ohio State has been in question since the offseason, when he was suspended for three games for his mishandling of the Zach Smith situation. Throughout the season, folks like Paul Finebaum and Colin Cowherd have stated that they believe this is his last year with the Buckeyes.

Shelley Meyer didn’t directly answer that question when asked, saying “I don’t know” whether her husband is back on the sidelines in 2019. But with a 12-1 record and a second straight B1G title, it might be hard to walk away.
