Ohio State lost another receiver on Saturday.

Even worse, it was a repeat injury.

Urban Meyer announced on Monday that junior receiver Corey Smith will miss the rest of 2015 after suffering a similar injury that Noah Brown did in the preseason. Brown, of course, broke his leg during training camp.

Smith went down awkwardly on the sideline in the second half of Saturday’s game against Indiana after he was sandwiched between a pair of Hoosier defenders. He was carted off the field covering his eyes and appeared to be in severe pain.

Smith was trying to work his way back into the rotation as a regular contributor after returning from a one-game suspension to start the season.

He had five catches for 62 yards in his four games of action, including a 22-yard catch before he was injured on Saturday.

The junior college transfer’s redshirt status has yet to be determined.
