Tuesday morning was not a good morning for Tate Martell.

Martell, a former QB at Ohio State, decided to transfer once he learned that the Buckeyes were bringing in 5-star QB Justin Fields — from Georgia — to compete for the starting QB job. Martell landed at Miami (FL) and was cleared immediately eligible to play by the NCAA.

However, Martell lost the starting job at Miami to redshirt freshman QB Jarren Williams.

With that, social media of course had a field day on Martell losing the job. After all, he transferred from Ohio State to play more (and avoid a legitimate competition with Fields for the job).
