The son of an Ohio State assistant coach has decided to join his father in Columbus as a member of the Buckeyes.

On Wednesday, 3-star offensive lineman Toby Wilson announced that he has committed to Ohio State. He is the son of current Buckeyes co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Kevin Wilson.

Per 247Sports, Toby Wilson is listed as a center and is a member of the 2021 recruiting class. He’s ranked as the No. 25 offensive center in the class and is the No. 86 player from Ohio.

Toby Wilson received over a dozen offers during the recruiting process. He picked Ohio State over programs such as Air Force, Army, Navy, West Virginia, Western Kentucky, Akron and North Texas.

Kevin Wilson joined the Ohio State staff in 2017 and has held the same title for the past four seasons. He was previously the head coach at Indiana from 2011-16 before the two sides mutually parted ways.

Ohio State’s 2021 recruiting class currently ranks No. 2 nationally and is No. 1 in the B1G. The Buckeyes ended the 2020 season with a 7-1 record and a trip to the national championship.
