Tanner McCalister is feeling good about how the defense has played so far. Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors posted his quotes online.
McCalister came to Ohio State from Oklahoma State, much like his defensive coordinator Jim Knowles did. Part of the reason that he thinks it has been easier for him is because of how the defensive line has played.

Many people were disappointed with how Ohio State played against Arkansas State. Denzel Burke was hard on himself after the game, but McCalister wants him to know that he’s got his back. Burke has 4 total tackles so far in 2022.
Ohio State won 45-12 against the Red Wolves, but struggled in the 1st half to distance themselves.

Lastly, McCalister spoke about his former Oklahoma State teammate Malcolm Rodriguez. Rodriguez plays for the Detroit Lions at the moment, and has carved out a key role.
McCalister also thinks that Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers will do the same for whatever teams they play for in the NFL.
