McCalister has especially gotten to know fellow DB Ronnie Hickman. He says that this allowed for them to ‘gel together’ and communicate well on the field per Lantern Sports.
“It’s been fun playing next to him,” said McCalister. “We clicked immediately as far as personality, so we joke all the time. We communicate on the field a lot, which is good. There may be certain things I say that may not make sense, but he’ll understand.”

All in all, McCalister highlighted that every day counts at Ohio State. He should fit in well at Columbus per Jacob Benge of The Lantern.
“Every day is a back and forth battle,” said McCalister. “Every day in practice you get to treat it like it’s game day.”
