Marvin Harrison Jr. took a nasty hit in the end zone in the Peach Bowl against Georgia. After CJ Stroud was trying to evade the pass rush, he tossed up a prayer of the pass to the back of the end zone.

As the ball was coming down, Harrison was drilled by a Bulldog defender with a vicious hit. Initially called targeting, the refs then picked the flag up after replay review.

Harrison laid on the field for several minutes before heading to the injury tent to be examined.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, but Holly Rowe of ESPN reports that Harrison still doesn’t have his helmet on the sidelines. That could indicate Harrison was not cleared to return to action, but we will likely find out as the game moves forward.

The loss of Harrison would be huge for the Buckeyes. Harrison had 5 catches for 106 yards and 2 TDs before leaving with the injury. The Buckeyes are still in front of the Bulldogs by a score of 38-27 in the 4th quarter.

Stay tuned for updates on Harrison’s injury status.
