Terry McLaurin injury not expected to be 'overly serious,' per report
Terry McLaurin limped off the field in the middle of Monday night’s preseason matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders.
Initial x-rays from Monday night came back negative, but the full extent of McLaurin’s injury was mostly left in the dark until some light was shed on the subject Tuesday morning. According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport McLaurin is thought to have suffered a toe sprain, which is not thought to be “overly serious.”
The former Buckeye will have an MRI later Tuesday to confirm the Commanders’ diagnosis.
#Commanders WR Terry McLaurin is believed to be dealing with a toe sprain based on the initial diagnosis, sources say. The injury from last night’s game — also known as turf toe — is not thought to be overly serious, but he’ll have an MRI today to determine the full extent.

Washington seems to have dodged a bullet because this is the last thing the Commanders need right now. McLaurin is Washington’s top receiver, having totaled 120 receptions for 1,191 yards and 5 touchdowns last season.
McLaurin has finished 3 straight seasons with over 1,000 yards receiving. If he can avoid injury, expect the former Buckeye to make it 4 in 2023.
