A heavily-recruited linebacker out of Texas has released his list of Top 12 schools. Ohio State made the cut.

Derion Gullette, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker in the 2023 class, has narrowed down his list of options to 12 schools. Ohio State was the only program out of the B1G to make the list.

The other 11 programs still in consideration to land the Texas native are Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and USC.

Gullette made his announcement with a post on Twitter on Friday.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Gullette ranks as one of the Top 350 overall prospects in the 2023 cycle. He’s listed as the No. 43 player at his position.

Gullette was a two-way player at Marlin High School during the 2021 season. He put up an incredible stat line on both side of the football. Defensively, Gullette piled up 125 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

At the receiver position, Gullette hauled in 62 passes for 1430 yards and 14 touchdowns. After a tremendous 2021 season, he was named Texas District 8-2A-I Co-MVP.
