Three stats show just how dominant Ohio State has been in first halves this season
By now, you’re probably sick of hearing just how dominant Ohio State has been through the first seven games on its schedule. Well, maybe not if you’re a Buckeye fan, that is.
Sometimes, though, certain statistics pop up that you just can’t ignore. On Tuesday afternoon, FOX Sports decided to share some of those numbers. And boy, they are pretty eye-popping.

The stats are pretty basic in nature, looking at Ohio State’s total points, total yards and rushing yards in the first half of games this season. Those numbers, alone, are astounding. But placed against the first half numbers Ohio State’s defense has allowed in those same categories it becomes even more shocking.
Below are the numbers, as shared by FOX College Football on Twitter:

Ohio State is outscoring opponents by 200 points, outgaining teams by over 1,500 yards in total yards, and outrushing the opposition by nearly 850 yards. Just remarkable totals.
Ryan Day appreciates when his team gets off to a fast start, and it certainly has done that through the first seven games this season. If the Buckeyes keep going at this pace, they’ll be nearly impossible to beat.
