One of the hottest debates in college football right now is whether No. 5 Oklahoma or No. 6 Ohio State will be more deserving of receiving a College Football Playoff bid, assuming both teams win their conference championship games today.

At the moment it would appear the committee is leaning toward the Sooners, but who knows what kind of influence Saturday’s games will have on Tuesday’s final decision.

That said, former Heisman trophy winner and current ESPN analyst Tim Tebow doesn’t believe he should have to choose between the two. That’s because he thinks they should both be in and undefeated Notre Dame should be on the outside looking in.

“In my opinion, I have Ohio State and Oklahoma above Notre Dame as far as the four best, not most deserving, not most consistent but right now as we speak on a neutral field, who would I predict to win? I predict Ohio State and Oklahoma over Notre Dame,” Tebow said during his weekly appearance on ESPN First Take.

The Irish are 12-0 and likely has locked down one of the four seeds, no matter what happens today. So if Tebow were forced to make a decision, he’d take the Buckeyes.

“Right now before we watch the games tomorrow, I’m going with Ohio State because of what they did last week in embarrassing Michigan,” Tebow said. “It’s the best win of the season maybe by any team and they’re the hottest right now. Oklahoma, although their loss was a very good loss, they don’t have a win like that. At the end of the season when Oklahoma won by three, I’m going to take Ohio State running away against the No. 4 team in the country.”

Oklahoma will square off in a rematch with Texas in the Big 12 championship at noon EST, while Ohio State-Northwestern is set for an 8 p.m. kickoff.
