Urban Meyer’s suspension is officially over. The Ohio State head coach will be calling the shots again this week. And he’ll be meeting with the media.
Meyer served a three-game suspension for mishandling the domestic violence situation involving former assistant coach Zach Smith. The Buckeyes’ win over No. 15 TCU on Saturday night marked the end of the three-game suspension for the head coach.
Although Meyer wasn’t permitted to coach in games or speak to the media, he’s been on campus and at practice since the conclusion of Week 1, after the Buckeyes manhandled Oregon State 77-31.
On Sunday evening, Ohio State announced that Meyer would meet with the media on Monday, Sept. 16 at 11:45 am. It’s really nothing out of the ordinary, as that’s typically been the day he’s held his weekly press conferences with reporters.
Since Meyer was suspended, interim head coach Ryan Day had been meeting with the media each Monday.
Monday’s press conference may be something worth keeping an eye on, as Meyer hasn’t addressed his suspension or the situation much since his punishment was handed down.
