TreVeyon Henderson will be back with the Buckeyes in 2024.

Henderson announced that decision on Friday afternoon. The star running back will delay the start of his pro career by 1 more season in order to remain in Columbus for the 2024 campaign.

Here’s his announcement:

Henderson will be playing alongside new Ohio State transfer addition Quinshon Judkins, who arrives in Columbus by way of Ole Miss. Judkins has back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons on his résumé and is considered to be amongst the best running backs in the country.

However, Henderson will also be worthy of plenty of playing time in Ohio State’s backfield next year. Last season, Henderson rushed for 926 yards and 11 touchdowns in just 10 games. He also had 229 receiving yards last season. It was the 2nd time in 3 years that Henderson has gone over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in a campaign.

Henderson joins a growing group of Ohio State players who are opting to return in 2024. Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka has also announced his plans to come back to Columbus next season.

Henderson has 1 year of eligibility remaining.
