TreVeyon Henderson had a heroic run in Columbus as one of the key pieces to Ohio State’s offense.

In the fall of 2024, he capped his time for the Buckeyes by leading them to a national championship. Henderson put up over 1,000 yards rushing and did it for an offense that had a plethora of weapons, so getting to that 1,000-yard plateau (he finished with 1,016, to be exact) was easier said than done.

Henderson averaged a whopping 7.1 yards on his 144 carries, too, and piled up 10 rushing touchdowns. Now, he’s taking his talents to the NFL, and NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, one of the draft’s most esteemed voices, believes that Henderson will go high in this spring’s draft.

As in, the first round of the draft. And for a draftnik like Jeremiah to proclaim that Henderson would go that high, well, that’s some big talk.

Jeremiah has Henderson staying in the Midwest as a pro, going No. 24 overall to the Minnesota Vikings. Here is what Jeremiah wrote about Henderson going to Minnesota in this week’s latest mock draft:

“The Vikings have had an up-close look at what a dynamic runner can do for an offense that also features a loaded passing attack (SEE: Jahmyr Gibbs in Detroit). Minnesota finds its own RB weapon in Henderson, with Aaron Jones headed for free agency.”

Gibbs, a former Alabama star, has given the Lions’ offense a jolt over the past few seasons and now Jeremiah believes Henderson can do the same for another NFC North team.
