TreVeyon Henderson is healthy for Ohio State as the Buckeyes hit the College Football Playoff. That’s great news for Ryan Day and company but could spell trouble for the other contenders.

Facing Tennesse in the first round, Henderson has been a major cog on the ground and in the passing attack. After scoring on a big run in the first half, Henderson tacked on another and likely just put the game to bed for good.

With the Buckeyes already leading 35-10 in the 4th quarter, Henderson took a handoff on 2nd-and-10 and appeared bottled up by the Vols defense. However, he bounced his run outside, found a crease and was off to the races.

If anyone needed a reminder of what a healthy Henderson can do, he is providing plenty of moments for the Buckeyes with a trip to the quarterfinals on the line:

That touchdown made it 42-10, Ohio State, and the Buckeyes officially pulled their starters on the ensuing possession.

Henderson battled injuries throughout the 2022 and 2023 seasons for Ohio State and was not available when the team faced Georgia in the 2022 Peach Bowl. However, the arrival of Quinshon Judkins allowed the two backs to split carries and keep Henderson healthy throughout 2024.

Now, he’s opening the Playoff with a bang and could be a major force in the quarterfinals and beyond.
