Urban Meyer is looking to once again return to college football. This time, Meyer is looking at getting back into broadcasting.
After leaving Ohio State at the end of the 2018 season, Meyer stepped into a role with FOX during the 2019 and 2020 seasons. Meyer was most notably a member of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame crew.
In a recent interview for The Tim May Podcast, Meyer admitted that he loved his time with FOX and is looking at a potential return to the booth.
“That’s all still a conversation,” said Meyer. “I loved Fox. I loved their team. There’s nothing been finalized yet, but yeah I plan on going back and doing it.”
Meyer also said he enjoys celebrating the game of college football and is hoping to be back in the fall:
“I really enjoyed that,” Meyer explained. “I enjoyed celebrating those who play it, celebrating those who coach it, it’s a great game. Not ripping people to shreds, but celebrating this incredible game, most importantly the players that do this game. I plan on being back in the fall doing something like that.”

After Meyer’s departure to the NFL, former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops filled the vacant role on the set of FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff. With Stoops set to coach in the XFL in 2023, it remains a possibility his seat with FOX might open up.
