Urban Meyer issues statement on Nick Bosa
Ohio State received some tough news on Tuesday, as star defensive end Nick Bosa and his family have decided to focus on pursuing a future in the NFL over a return to the Buckeyes.
The report came in Tuesday morning from Tim May of The Columbus Dispatch. Ohio State confirmed the report by issuing a statement about Bosa’s departure from the university.

Head coach Urban Meyer also issued a statement on Bosa’s decision to focus on the NFL draft on Tuesday.
“I was hopeful that Nick would be able to return to play again for us,” Meyer said in a prepared statement. I know this was an extremely difficult and emotional decision for Nick and his family, and I wish him well as he moves on to get himself 100 percent healthy and ready for his next chapter.
“I want to thank Nick for the remarkable efforts he gave for this program. He is a first-class young man who we have been honored to coach.”
Bosa was injured in Ohio State’s game against TCU in September. He underwent surgery for a core muscle injury and has been rehabbing and recovering since that time. He has not returned to the field.
Bosa is considered to be one of the top defensive lineman available in the 2019 NFL Draft.
