Urban Meyer makes clear declaration about coaching future
Urban Meyer has no intention to return to coaching, and he made it clear during an appearance on the “All Things Covered” podcast hosted by Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson and former Steelers corner Bryant McFadden.
Meyer reflected on his 13-game tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which ended with his firing after several several off-field missteps and a 2-11 record.
“No desire,” Meyer said in the podcast around the 19:00 mark below. “Of course, I would’ve done some things differently. I was excited to see (their 2022 season), they have a lot of different players than when I was there. They did a really good job in free agency this year. … They’ve got a great future.”
After he was fired, Meyer returned to television, and worked as an analyst for FOX Sports’ college football broadcasts.
