Urban Meyer picks winner, predicts final score of Alabama-Ohio State game
No bias from Urban Meyer, none at all.
Meyer, the former head coach of Ohio State, weighed in with his prediction for tonight’s College Football Playoff Championship between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Ohio State. Meyer, now an analyst for FOX but likely heading to the NFL to become head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, thinks the Buckeyes will be the ones surrounded in confetti at the end of the night.

“I’m going to pick the Buckeyes here,” Meyer said on the FOX Sports’ CFB Playoff Preview via 247Sports.
“I think it’s going to be 38-35, Ohio State will come up with those four to five stops and this will be one of the classic National Championship games in recent history.”
No. 1 Alabama rolled over No. 4 Notre Dame in the playoff semifinals while No. 3 Ohio State upended No. 2 Clemson in what has to be called a comprehensive performance. Ohio State’s defense appears to be peaking and they’ve gotten the ground game going the past two games with Trey Sermon putting up some huge numbers.
Meyer won the national championship with Ohio State in 2014. The Buckeyes haven’t won the national championship since. They’ve finished No. 3 in the AP Top 25 Poll in each of the last two seasons under head coach Ryan Day.
