Urban Meyer, players from Ohio State’s 2014 National Championship team share advice for this year’s Buckeyes

Urban Meyer is no stranger to big games, and he shared his advice to this year’s Buckeyes in a segment with BTN.

In the inaugural College Football Playoff, Meyer and Ohio State shocked the world in dramatic fashion. Entering the CFP as the four-seed, Meyer led his Buckeyes to an upset of No. 1 Alabama and then watched Ohio State put up a dominant performance against Oregon to capture the national championship.

With this year’s team also facing Alabama, Meyer says it will be all about Ohio State taking advantage of little victories throughout the game:

“I’m not sure they really need my advice after watching them last week against Clemson, but thinking about winning the game is a little bit overwhelming, especially facing such a talented team such as Alabama,” said Meyer. “It’s small victories along the way.

“This is going to be all about stopping Alabama five times if you can…you can’t stop them every drive, you’re going to give up some points, but small victories along the way.”
