Ever since the Purdue loss, everyone has speculated about Urban Meyer’s future at Ohio State. There have been plenty of rumors flying around that he won’t be in Columbus at the end of the 2018 season.
During his weekly press conference, Meyer cleared the air on his future with the Buckeyes. When asked if he would return next fall, Meyer provided a direct response.
“I plan on coaching,” Meyer said when asked about next season. He was then asked if that means he will be on the sideline next year, Meyer responded with “Yes.”

That should quiet all the noise, right?
Meyer has been under criticism all season long, beginning with the scandal that broke involving Zach Smith in July. The Ohio State head coach has also talked about headaches this season and the Buckeyes haven’t been performing well over the last three weeks.
Meyer’s response might settle the storm temporarily, but if Ohio State isn’t performing at an elite level, questions about his future will likely return.
The Buckeyes take on Nebraska on Saturday in Columbus.
