Urban Meyer’s run in the NFL lasted less than one year. Just 13 games into his tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the front office decided to move on after poor performance on the field and a growing number of controversies off of it.
Now, Meyer’s NFL career is in a category with former Atlanta Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Meyer is the first NFL coach to not complete his first full season since Petrino in 2007. Both coaches lasted 13 games, though leaving under different circumstances. Petrino left for a head coaching job at Arkansas while Meyer was terminated.
