Ohio State has added to its basketball roster via the transfer portal.

Former Utah State guard and graduate transfer Abel Porter announced on Saturday that he will continue his college basketball career at Ohio State. He will be immediately eligible for the Buckeyes next season and will have one year of eligibility remaining after spending the past four years with the Aggies.

“I’ve officially committed to play basketball at The Ohio State University,” Porter wrote on Twitter.

Porter was previously a walk-on at Utah State, playing in three games before redshirting the 2016-17 season. In the last three years, he has appeared in 91 career games with 51 starts. Last year, he was the starting guard in all 34 of Utah State’s games, averaging 26 minutes, 5.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Utah State was 26-8 this year and won back-to-back Mountain West Tournament titles.
