Ohio State opened up its 2016 campaign with a 77-10 victory over Bowling Green. A 67-point win should impress people, regardless of who it is against.
After the Buckeyes set a school record for total offense against the Falcons with 776 yards gained, Las Vegas showed the team some love. In the latest Heisman Trophy odds, quarterback J.T. Barrett is third at 6/1, only to Clemson’s Deshaun Watson and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey. Barrett accounted for seven touchdowns on Saturday.

In Vegas’ latest odds to win the national championship, Ohio State is now second at 5/1, trailing only Alabama at 4/1. Alabama impressively defeated USC, 52-6, while No. 2-ranked Clemson beat Auburn in a tight, 19-13 game.
