Welcome to the family, Wayne Davis and Malcolm Pridgeon.

Earlier today, two Ohio State players got the black stripes removed from their helmets, essentially meaning the player has proven himself to the team and is worthy of being a Buckeye.

Wayne Davis is a freshman and was Virginia’s Gatorade Player of the Year coming out of high school. According to 247 Sports, the 5-foot-11 cornerback was a four-star recruit.

For Pridgeon, he became just the second junior college player in the past decade to commit to an Urban Meyer-led team. The 6-foot-8 offensive tackle was the No. 4 overall rated JuCo player in the class of 2016.
