It apparently will not be a quiet bowl season for Ohio State after all.

According to FOX28 in Columbus, defensive tackle Adolphus Washington was cited for first-degree misdemeanor solicitation on Wednesday night.

The report indicated the head of Buckeye media relations, Jerry Emig, said that Washington is expected to appear in court next Thursday. Emig reportedly told FOX28 that “disciplinary action will be handled internally.”

Washington was one of the critical cogs that helped the Buckeye defense to a top-10 finish. He’s also projected as a borderline first-round NFL draft pick.

It remains to be seen whether or not the reported citation will have any effect on his availability for the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame.

According to Eleven Warriors’ Eric Seger, Urban Meyer will address it upon returning from a recruiting trip.
