Tough news out of Washington.
Former Ohio State star Chase Young will likely miss the Commanders’ first four games of the 2022 season as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Young suffered the injury in week 10 last season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to multiple reports, Washington moved Young to the Reserve/PUP list which will keep him sidelined for at least four games.
Chase Young will now miss at least four games:
Week 1: Jaguars
Week 2: Lions
Week 3: Eagles
Week 4: Cowboys https://t.co/6W4S5jlQMp— Field Yates (@FieldYates) August 23, 2022
Young was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2020. The former No. 2 pick has recorded 9 sacks in two seasons with Washington. It’s a tough start to his professional career after a stellar time at Ohio State.
Young’s 16.5 sacks as a junior set an Ohio State single-season record. He would go on to become a unanimous All-American and win many Defensive Player of the Year awards.
Let’s hope Young can get back on the field quickly. It appears the Commanders are being cautious with the former Buckeye. Young’s earliest return could come Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. Expect him to come back healthy and dominant after his recovery.
