Ohio State is a great football program.

Even Michigan would admit that. OK, maybe not.

But nonetheless, the Buckeyes — and Wolverines — put out plenty of players into the professional ranks. In the NFL, numerous Buckeyes have had and are having success. One pass-catcher that’s setting records at the next level is New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas.

It isn’t just Thomas who shows his talent, though. Perhaps we can start adding Curtis Samuel to that list of talented former Buckeyes:

Quarterback Cam Newton got the ball out quickly to Samuel and the play-making receiver did the rest. Not only was it his first TD as a pro, but it was a sweet one at that.

Samuel’s speed and toughness were on full display here. It may have been his first TD in the NFL, but it likely won’t be his last.

Samuel was with the Buckeyes from 2014-16 and scored 24 total TD (15 rushing, 9 receiving). He was then drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
