Since the start of the season, fans have nitpicked J.T. Barrett’s accuracy and his ability to throw the deep ball. All the other incredible things Barrett is capable of doing seems to take a backseat.
It’s safe to say that the Ohio State senior is tired of hearing that conversation.
On Tuesday, Barrett was asked once again about his ability to connect on deep passes and whether or not he’ll be able to stretch the field against better competition — Penn State in particular.
At about the 4:25 mark of the video, Barrett gets asked the question, and for the next three minutes, you can really sense his frustration with the topic.

“I’m really just shocked that we keep talking about it,” Barrett said. “How many did we complete the other day? three or four? So it’s like, what’s up?”
Barrett is typically pretty mild-mannered when it comes to the media, so he must really be tired of discussing the topic. Which is understandable, it’s seem to be a non-stop conversation piece since the start of the season.
To his credit, he did gather himself and answer the question.
The Ohio State quarterback is the B1G’s all-time touchdown leader and became the Buckeyes’ all-time leading passer and eclipsed the 10,000 total yardage mark for his career. So yeah, nagging on a little inconsistency downfield would get pretty tiring.
Ohio State hosts Maryland this Saturday in Columbus.
