The Buckeyes offense slowed down in the second quarter, but their defense didn’t, and following an Ohio State sack, Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin expressed his frustration. After leading Florida Atlantic to an 11-3 record in his first season during 2017, Kiffin and the Owls suffered a disappointing 5-7 season last year.
In his Buckeyes debut, quarterback Justin Fields had a terrific first quarter, accounting for all four Ohio State touchdowns — three through the air and one on the ground. Ohio State leads Florida Atlantic at halftime, 28-3. FAU finished the first half with negative total yards.
