This is exactly how Ohio State was hoping to respond after getting blown out a week ago.
The Buckeyes were able to get on the scoreboard early, taking a quick 7-0 lead over Michigan State in the first quarter. And it might’ve been one of the easier touchdowns the scarlet and gray have scored all season.
On a 3rd-and-3, J.T. Barrett handed the ball off to running back Mike Weber, who toted it up the middle and trotted 47 yards for the first score of the game. Yes, Weber’s speed was key, but it was the offensive line that allowed Weber to get to the end zone untouched.

That score was the sixth of the season of Weber.
Coming into the game against the Spartans, Weber had 275 yards on 60 carries this season. The ball-carrier has been hampered by injuries throughout the season, but he looked perfectly fine on that long run.
