It’s probably not a good idea to be on Tate Martell’s bad side.

Near the end of the game with Ohio State leading 45-3, Martell took off toward the sideline trying to pick up a few extra yards. That’s when a Rutgers defender loaded up and laid out the Buckeyes’ quarterback as he was stepping out of bounds.

The hit left Martell down on the sideline for a brief period of time.

Think that would be the end of Martell’s night? Think again.

Three plays later, the backup quarterback scampered 47 yards for a touchdown run to give the Buckeyes a 52-3 lead in the 4th quarter.

Martell finished the day completing 10-of-10 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown. He added 95 rushing yards and a touchdown to his day.

So yeah, maybe B1G defenses should think the next time they think about taking a cheap shot on Martell. He can make you pay big time.
