WATCH: Urban Meyer speaks to media following Ohio State suspension
After an almost 12-hour Board of Trustees meeting, Ohio State announced that Urban Meyer would be suspended for three games, returning to his role as head coach in Week 4.
Reports suggested that reasons for the marathon meeting included trustees being in favor of reinstatement and Meyer supposedly fighting any punishment that included suspension. A press conference was held after the announcement. Meyer appeared accepting of the punishment and apologized for how he handled allegations and incidents involving former Buckeyes assistant coach Zach Smith. He also apologized for answers he gave at B1G Media Days to questions about Smith.
