WATCH: Vonn Bell flashes coverage skills with perfectly timed deflection

Vonn Bell can cover some ground.
The former Ohio State defensive back made a name for himself as a ballhawk in college. Bell finished his Buckeyes career with nine interceptions, including six during 2014, and 15 passes defended. Though he doesn’t have an NFL interception to his name yet, Bell is continuing to make big-time plays with the New Orleans Saints.
On this play, Bell ranged from his safety position in the middle of the field to break things up. He covered a lot of space quickly to get a deflection at the last second. His perfectly timed lunge broke up what would have been a big play and covered up for Eli Apple who had been beaten on the route.
