Ohio State looked unimpressive at times against Tulsa, but the Buckeyes finally did enough late to put the game away for good.

The real story of the game though came from freshman running back TreVeyon Henderson. He rushed for 270 yards and 3 TDs on the afternoon, powering Ohio State in a major way. Henderson also shattered an Ohio State record previously set by Archie Griffin.

Moving forward, Henderson likely has a hold on the starting position and could provide the type of balance Ohio State’s offense has been looking for. Henderson’s big game and the rotation in the running back room were among the topics Ryan Day covered in his postgame press conference.
