Zach Harrison has been juggling high expectations since he came to Columbus. A former 5-star prospect, many envisioned the impact of a Bosa Brother or a Chase Young for Harrison.

Unfortunately, Harrison’s start with the Buckeyes was to a lesser degree with 7.5 sacks over his first three seasons. Now in his senior campaign, Harrison’s not letting those past numbers or expectations slow him down.

In Saturday’s win over Iowa, Harrison produced 2 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL, 1 pass breakup, and a QB hurry. His sack also produced a forced fumble off Iowa QB Spencer Petras.

After the game, DC Jim Knowles said he hasn’t been looking at the past tape to determine what kind of player Harrison is. Knowles sees Harrison continue to show up in the tape every week for the Buckeyes.

Head coach Ryan Day was also complimentary of the defender. According to Day, Harrison is playing his best football right now and continues to bring a special type of energy to the Buckeye defense.

We’ll see if Harrison can keep making an impact moving forward.
