To make an intense situation a little more fun, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones attempted to make a joke at Ezekiel Elliott’s expense. It might’ve gotten some laughs from a lot of people, but Zeke and his agent weren’t too happy.
Elliott is currently holding out of training camp in an attempt to get a better contract deal. When asked about the situation involved Zeke, Jones responded to the media with “Zeke who?”
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the Cowboys running back didn’t find that joke very amusing. In fact, he thought it was a shot of disrespect from Jones.
Neither Elliot, nor his agent Rocky Arceneaux were impressed. From Mortensen:
It drew a few laughs but neither @EzekielElliott nor agent Rocky Arceneaux found @Cowboys Jerry Jones' quip "Zeke who?" as amusing. Arceneaux: "I didn't think it was funny and neither did Zeke – we actually thought it was disrespectful."

Things continue to stay sour between Zeke and the Cowboys front office.

Neither side seems to be budging at the moment on the contract front, but there’s still a few weeks before the regular season gets underway. Right now, though, it doesn’t sound like things are going too well on either side.
