Ohio State is one of the most storied programs in college football history. The Buckeyes’ program dates all the way back to 1890 and has won 9 national championships over the years. Ohio State’s claimed national titles were in 1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002, 2014 and 2024.

After winning a couple of Ohio Athletic Conference titles during the early years of the program, the Buckeyes have an impressive 39 Big Ten championships to their name.

Over the years, the Buckeyes have produced 7 Heisman Trophy winners — Les Horvath in 1944, Vic Janowicz in 1950, Howard Cassidy in 1955, Archie Griffin in 1974 and again in 1975, Eddie George in 1995 and Troy Smith in 2006.

By almost any metric you choose, Ohio State is one of the top college football teams of all time and is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.
