Arnold Ebiketie is an Atlanta Falcon.
Friday night, the Penn State edge rusher was the first B1G player taken in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He was selected No. 38 overall by the Falcons. He’s also the second Nittany Lion off the board in this draft, following wide receiver Jahan Dotson (No. 16 overall).
Ebiketie spent just one season at Penn State, transferring in from Temple. He made a huge impact during his lone season with the Nittany Lions and proved to be one of the B1G’s top defensive ends.
In the 2021 season, Ebiketie racked up 62 tackles, including 18 for loss. He was also credited with 9.5 sacks, 7 quarterback hurries, 2 forced fumbles and 2 blocked kicks.
Two other B1G edge rushers were selected before Ebiketie in this year’s draft — Michigan’s Aidan Hutchinson (No. 2) and Purdue’s George Karlaftis (No. 30).
Prior to his transfer to Penn State, Ebiketie spent three years with Temple. With the Owls, Ebiketie was responsible for 58 stops, 6 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
