A Penn State commit flipped his commitment to Florida on Thursday. 2023 QB Marcus Stokes has changed his mind on where he’ll be playing college football.

Stokes is a 4-star QB per the 247Sports Composite. He originally committed to the Nittany Lions on April 8. However, after attending a Florida camp Stokes de-committed from Penn State and went with Florida.

Here’s what Stokes had to say about his decision:

“I would to thank Penn State for supporting me, loving me, and showing the same to my family,” said Stokes. “This decision was not the easiest to make. After taking time talking with my family and staying up late nights listening to my heart, I will be flipping my commitment to the University of Florida!”

In spite of losing Stokes, the Nittany Lions still have the No. 2 2023 recruiting class in the B1G. However, Stokes was the only QB committed to Penn State.

The native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida will be staying at home for now.
