Penn State fans will be happy to hear that one of its recruits got bumped up from a 4-star to a 5-star recruit. 6-foot-4, 285 lbs. OT J’ven Williams was recently upgraded to a 5-star on the 247Sports composite rankings.

Williams played high school ball at Wyomissing in Reading, Pa.

Williams is rated 29 nationally. He is rated as the 4th best OT in his class and No. 1 in the state of Pennsylvania.

Penn State curently has the No. 13 recruiting class for 2023, with 1 5-star, 14 4-stars and 4 3-stars coming to Happy Valley in 2023, per 247Sports composite rankings.

The Nittany Lions have the 2nd-best recruiting class in the B1G, only trailing Ohio State for the Class of 2023.

Penn State finished with a 10-2 overall record and a 7-2 mark in the B1G. Its only 2 losses were to No. 2 Michigan and No. 4 Ohio State, both in the College Football Playoff.
