During Saturday’s warmups in preparation for the Nittany Lions game with Michigan, Penn State running back Devyn Ford was not on the field. It has been reported by ABC News that he didn’t make the trip to Ann Arbor due to a death in the family.

Ford left last Saturday’s game with Iowa with an undisclosed injury, and did not return to the game.

Penn State coach James Franklin updated Ford’s status on Wednesday, indicating his ability to play against Michigan was in question, but that he was hopeful to have Ford available to play.

Ford had started in four consecutive games in the Penn State backfield. He has two touchdowns, rushing for 209 yards on 56 carries, averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
