Alex Taylor is almost ready to make his college commitment.
Taylor announced his commitment date and 5 finalists on Wednesday. He will make his decision on July 29. His 5 finalists are Penn State, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and NC State.

Taylor, a North Carolina native, is one of the top prospects nationally at his position. He’s the No. 297 overall player and the No. 47 wide receiver in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 prospect from the state of North Carolina.
He attends Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds.
Taylor is a longtime Penn State target. His initial offer from the Nittany Lions came back in December of 2021. He took an official visit to Happy Valley earlier this month.
Penn State has 20 commits already in the class of 2024, but only 2 are from wide receivers. The group ranks No. 6 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
