Another Penn State defensive player opts out of Outback Bowl
Penn State DE Arnold Ebiketie announced earlier on Tuesday that he is declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft, and will be opting out of the Outback Bowl.
Ebiketie was a redshirt senior that originally transferred from Temple in December of 2020 after being with the Owls from 2017 to 2020. He had 34 solo tackles, 9.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles this season for the Nittany Lions.
Here’s what he had to say in his Twitter post about his decision:
“Nittany Nation, thank you for the love and support. I can’t begin to express my gratitude fully for the support from the fans,” said Ebiketie. “It’s been an honor to suit up in the Blue & White with this legendary fan base cheering us on. With that being said, I have decided to forego our bowl game and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft. From one dream to the next, I thank every person who has supported and helped me make this dream a reality. We Are!”
