Penn State product and Baltimore Ravens star Odafe Oweh received some pass-rushing help via the 2022 NFL Draft. Often projected as a first-round pick, the Ravens were able to grab Michigan pass-rusher David Ojabo in the second round as Ojabo continues to rehab from an Achilles injury he sustained in his pre-draft workouts.

In fact, landing with the Ravens is a reunion for Oweh and Ojabo. In an appearance on the Jim Rome Show, Oweh discussed playing alongside Ojabo when the two were in high school.

Oweh described the reunion as “destiny” and said he can’t wait for the two to “wreak havoc” against offenses.

“Everything that has happened is just destiny,” said Oweh. “I really just feel so excited to play with him because I know what he’s going to do, I’m going to do…he’s just gonna soar when he comes off his Achilles injury…we’re just gonna wreak havoc.”

Oweh also described Ojabo as a “savant” in pass rushing and a “freak” athlete who used to beat Oweh in races during high school.

“You’re getting a freak, man. He is a natural savant in pass rushing,” Oweh said on The Jim Rome Show. “You can see it in the way he spins, you can see it in the way he takes the edge. He’s just a bendy, twitchy dude…back in high school, he used to beat me in races…He’s just a freak athletic guy.”

While it’s unclear when Ojabo might debut due to his injury, it should be an exciting time for the Ravens when their young pass-rushing duo finally hits the field.
