The blows keep coming for the Penn State defense.
Last week, Jason Cabinda was announced out before Saturday’s game against Pitt. This week, Brandon Bell was announced out before Saturday’s game against Temple.
The starting linebacker was in crutches entering Beaver Stadium:

Bell was hurt in last week’s game against Pitt. He did return to the game, but obviously, his injury was a little more serious than it might’ve appeared. Manny Bowen figures to start in his place.
It’s unclear whether or not Cabinda, Kevin Givens, Evan Schwan, and Grant Haley, who all left last week’s game with injuries, will play.
It does appear that Cabinda and Saeed Blacknall are both sidelined:

Temple, on the other hand, got positive news on running back Jahad Thomas. He will start on Saturday.
That’s not the best news for an injury-riddled PSU defense that allowed 341 yards on the ground.
