Saquon Barkley turned some heads in his first game of the NFL regular season, racking up 106 yards, including a 68-yard sprint to the end zone for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

But Barkley wasn’t just opening the eyes of the fans in New York on Sunday, he was also impressing defenders he was squared up against.

After the Giants-Jaguars game concluded on Sunday, Jacksonville defensive end Calais Campbell traded jerseys with Barkley. That’s not an uncommon phenomenon in the NFL these days, but Campbell wanted his jersey for a specific reason.

“I traded jerseys with him after the game because I was like; ‘Okay, if he can stay healthy, he might one day be a Hall of Famer,” Campbell said after the game, via NJ Advance Media. “So now, I’ll get his jersey when he’s young.”

That’s a pretty high compliment for the rookie running back.

Barkley has already had flashes of brilliance through the preseason and in the first game of the regular season. If he continues to play at a high level, Campbell may be the owner of a very valuable jersey.
