Jaquan Brisker had an impressive debut for the Chicago Bears Sunday. The Former Penn State safety set the tone on the first defensive series of the day, recovering a fumble forced by Jaylon Johnson on Deebo Samuel.

Veteran safety Eddie Jackson liked what he saw from Brisker.

“Like I told him, we’re going to be the best duo they’ve ever seen,” Jackson said postgame. “He came up with that big play early. They were driving the ball and he recovered it. We’re just going to continue to come out here and capitalize and feed off each other and continue to make plays. I’m proud of him.”

Brisker totaled 4 tackles, a fumble recovery and a tackle for loss in his professional debut. He’s one of two rookie defensive backs the Bears are using this season and held his own well against a team that was considered a deep playoff caliber squad.

Brisker’s play helped catapult the Bears to a surprising 19-10 upset in Week 1.

And he’s just going to be better.
